HOW THIS
IS MADE

COLOPHON · NONARKARA

Why it exists. Spotify and Apple Podcasts are distribution, not storage. A show that lives only inside a platform is one policy change from disappearing. Everything here — every episode, its complete transcript, and the essays underneath — is a flat file on a CDN, searchable without an account, and portable the day it needs to be.

Two shows, kept apart. A daily news briefing and a philosophy essay series have different cadences and different reasons to exist. Merging them into one reverse-chronological roll produces a page nobody can use. They sit side by side here, each with its own series page and its own sub-tabs — news by month, philosophy by its numbered arc.

How an episode is made. Scripts are written by local models running on a machine in Bangkok, from sourced material only: real feeds for the news show, Dr Non's own essays for the philosophy show. Gates reject invented statistics, fabricated memories, and sentences the voice cannot say. The voice is a zero-shot clone of Dr Non's own recording, synthesised locally. Nothing is sent to a cloud model.

What the maps show, and what they refuse to. Every line on the maps is recorded data. A Non-Philosophy episode links to an essay because the pipeline recorded that it was written from it; a news episode links to an outlet because that outlet supplied the story. Nothing is inferred from similarity, and no line is drawn where the data does not record one — a map that guesses is a map that lies.

What the labels mean. Each item is tagged the way a bag is tagged. The three-letter code is the series, and it is the largest thing on the tag because it is what you resolve first. The reference below it is the machine key. Date, extent and rating are operational detail, printed small because you only read them once you have found the thing you wanted.

Design lineage. The airline baggage tag: thermal stock, one chromatic channel used only for wayfinding, three type sizes, square corners, punched perforations, and no element present that identification does not require.

Honesty. The voice is synthetic and says so on every page and in both feeds. Adult material is rated on the item, not hidden. Transcripts are the text that was actually synthesised, not a cleaned-up rewrite — if the audio said it, it is here.
